"Doctoral Experiential Capstone (DEx) is for students to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their OTD academic courses and Level I and II fieldwork experiences in ways that challenge and perhaps transform the delivery of health, educational, and social services." Phases of DEx
Phases of DEx
The Doctoral Experiential is conducted over phases:
Preparatory phase: involving knowledge and skill-building and the design of a community experiential and a scholarly project
Concurrent experiential and scholarship phase: with implementation of what was proposed in the preparatory phase & production of a student portfolio
Dissemination phase: involves presentation of a scholarly project which reports on DEx Capstone components.
